Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness: What You Can’t Miss

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness: What You Can't Miss

Marvel Studios has evolved over the years into a production company that’s extremely capable of delivering entertaining movies on both commercial and artistic levels.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the latest in a series of Marvel films that are based on stories by Steve Ditko. This one is directed by Scott Derrickson, who also directed 2016’s Doctor Strange.

The film takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame and before Spider-Man: Far From Home, with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) struggling with his role as Sorcerer Supreme after having lost his ability to use magic due to the events of Infinity War. In Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, Stephen Strange will face a new adversary called Nightmare who will try to destroy everything that he holds dear.

When a mysterious being starts killing people with magic, it becomes up to Doctor Strange and his allies — Wong (Benedict Wong), Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) — to stop them.

While this is a very dark, gritty version of Doctor Strange, it’s also one that has some fun moments. It’s a movie worth watching especially if you’re a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange or if you want to see what the multiverse looks like in this universe.

The fact that stands out about this movie is its visuals. The production design is fantastic and there are so many different worlds that are all beautifully designed and rendered. There’s also some great use of computer graphics which makes it feel like there are more worlds out there than just our own — although not always in ways that make sense for Doctor Strange’s story!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness may not be the most exciting Marvel movie ever made, but it’s still hot trending and enjoyable experience for both longtime fans and those new to the franchise. If you’re willing to set aside some of your disbelief, you’ll enjoy this movie, which features its fair share of action alongside unexpected yet welcome humor. In other words, if you’re a fan of Strange himself, steer yourself toward this new film. Chances are you’ll have a good time. But only if you let yourself get a little lost in this multiverse.

But what exactly does this mean? And how does it tie into everything else we’ve seen so far? Let’s find out more about the interesting points in this movie below!

What You Must Watch Before Doctor Strange 2?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a force in Hollywood, bringing together some of the biggest stars in the world and creating one of the most popular franchises ever. There are currently 23 movies in the MCU, with more on the way.

If you’re a Marvel fan, then you have to know about the upcoming film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Doctor Strange 2. The movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, who was also seen as Doctor Strange in the first part. It’s going to be released on May 7, 2021 and it will be directed by Scott Derrickson.

In order to ensure you don’t miss out on key moments from previous films, here are all nine essential MCU movies you need to watch before Doctor Strange 2 hits theaters this year:

Doctor Strange (2016)

The first movie introduced us to Stephen Strange, an arrogant surgeon who lost his ability to use his hands after a car accident. He travels around the world looking for a way to heal himself, until he finds himself in Kamar-Taj where he meets The Ancient One and Karl Mordo. He was also introduced to magic, which would change his life forever.

Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

In the Thor films, we’ve seen how powerful and important the Infinity Stones are. And now, the Avengers are going to try to find them. The first film in the Doctor Strange sequel trilogy will be about how the Avengers search for the Time Stone and what they find along the way.

Thor: Ragnarok is an excellent introduction to this story because it shows us exactly how powerful these stones are — and what they can do. For example, when Loki steals the Space Stone from Asgard, he uses it to create a giant bodyguard named Korg who protects him from Hela’s wrath. And when Thanos uses his Infinity Gauntlet in Infinity War, he creates a giant army of clones with Doctor Strange’s help.

If you want to understand Doctor Strange 2 better before it comes out, then Thor: Ragnarok is a must watch.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Avengers: Infinity War is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers. It is a sequel to The Avengers, released in 2012 and 2015, and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). It was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a script by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. In the film’s storyline, the Avengers and their allies must defeat Thanos before his forces can destroy Earth.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

This is the first Marvel movie to be released after Infinity War, so it’s hard to imagine that Doctor Strange 2 will come before this one. But Endgame is definitely a must-watch for anyone who wants to understand how Doctor Strange 2 will take place in the MCU’s timeline.

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

It is the sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It’s been three years since Spider-Man was introduced to the MCU and now he’s back with a bang.

In the wake of the “Spider-Verse” event, Peter Parker must step up to be a hero once again. However, he’s not alone in his fight as a group of Spiders from across the multiverse have joined forces to take on Morlun and his family! But with power comes great responsibility and soon Peter will learn what it means to be a true Spider-Man!

If you’re going to watch Strange 2, you should probably check out these films. They’ll help you get a sense of what’s going on in the larger MCU, and they’ll help fill in some of the background details that might otherwise make the movie harder to understand. All in all, just have some fun and be prepared for anything.

Doctor Strange 2 Review: This Time, The Multiverse Shakes

Marvel Entertainment

“Doctor Strange 2” is a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie that’s as weird and surreal as it is entertaining. It’s an imaginative, trippy sequel that blows up the story of Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and his team of sorcerers, adding new characters and new worlds to explore. But despite all the creative freedom director Scott Derrickson has here.

It’s been almost five years since Doctor Strange was released on Netflix. In this sequel, we see how Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) has recovered from the loss of his hands and has learned to control his powers more efficiently than ever before. The sorcerer is now ready for a new adventure in another dimension: The Multiverse.

In this installment, we see how Strange has become a master of time travel and uses it to take on a new threat against Earth itself. As expected, there are many twists along the way as well as plenty of action scenes to keep us entertained until the end credits start rolling.

The first trailer for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness dropped, and it looks like Marvel is going full horror. The movie will follow Doctor Strange as he battles a mysterious entity known as Nightmare in the Dark Dimension.

The trailer features some pretty terrifying imagery and sets up a pretty chilling scenario where every nightmare you’ve ever had comes to life. There are plenty of monsters, but the most interesting thing about this movie is that it seems to be taking inspiration from the horror genre rather than leaning into the magical fantasy elements that have been so prominent in other MCU movies.

The movie begins with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) having a conversation about how they’re going to take down Dormammu and save Earth from his grasp once and for all. It seems like they’re going to have to go through the Dark Dimension to do so, but there’s one problem: Dormammu has stolen the Eye of Agamotto from Strange and he can’t let anyone see him without it because he’ll be vulnerable.

This new installment in the MCU gives us a fun and innovative film that delivers everything we could have asked for with an origin story. And with the surprise ending, certain Marvel fans will be on edge longing for the next chapter of this origin. Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness is well worth the price of admission, so get your ticket and get ready to laugh, cry and watch in awe at the same time. Let’s enjoy it for what it is: a good movie.

Conclusion

The film does a good job of setting up its story and introducing its characters in a way that works well for newcomers while leaving room for those who have seen previous films like this one to dive deeper into the lore if they want. The dialogue is snappy and funny, which helps keep things from getting too dark despite all the death happening around them. The action scenes are great fun and well choreographed, as expected from this type of movie.

While we don’t want to spoil too much of Doctor Strange 2, we do believe that this movie is truly worthy of the Marvel name. In other words, you will be doing yourself a disservice if you skip this movie.

Hopefully this review was useful for those of you who are planning on seeing Doctor Strange. We highly recommend it—it’s a fun, engaging movie filled with beautiful visuals, a compelling plot, and a solid cast. And while the movie definitely has its flaws, none of them should stop you from making your way to the theater this weekend.
