What It Really Means To Be A Sports Mom
There’s no bigger fan than a Sports Mom. There’s no better way to spend the weekend than at a high school football game. There’s no feeling like watching your kid play the sport they love, providing you with countless hours of practices and games. As a Sports Mom, I’m here to tell you that we are not “soccer moms,” and we laugh out loud when someone calls us that. Being a Sports Mom means something more.
Being a sports mom is not for the faint of heart. In fact…it’s the toughest job you will ever have. You’re the one behind the bleachers with your camera during all four quarters; preparing lunches, driving to away games, organizing snacks, and making sure everyone makes it home safely. You’re there when they score and when they mess up. And let me tell ya something: there is no more honest relationship than a mother has with her child. So, let me ask you right now…what does it mean to be a sports mom?
There’s nothing quite like being a sports mom. It’s a whirlwind of activity, excitement, and joy. It’s also a time when moms get to bond with their kids over their favorite pastimes.
All that running around can be exhausting, though. From the moment the cheering section arrives at the game until everyone is safely in bed for the night, moms are on the go: cheering, strategizing, planning celebrations and parties (just ask any mom who has ever had to plan a team party), getting goody bags together (a tradition as old as time it seems), and doing whatever needs to be done to help their kids win.
